Bullying linked to employee death
The Workers Compensation Board in PEI ruled that workplace bullying was the likely cause of an employee's heart attack and death. The employee had no pre-existing conditions, history, or risk factors, and a recent medical history of stress that the employee linked to the bullying by his supervisor: Nadine Hendricken.
This is just the start.
Now let's start taking a serious look at employee suicide notes where they identify workplace Psychological Abuse (harassment, bullying, etc.) as reasons for their suicide. And lets hold those abusers — the individuals and the companies — to account.
Hilts, Higgins, Sullivan, Paterson-Weir: you are bullies, harasers, abusers.
Atkinson: you are a failure. You condone bullying and harassment by your employees.
